Stress

Talk about STRESS

Stress is neither good nor bad. It is how we respond or react to stress factors that makes the difference. For some people, stress causes elation and an increased sense of purpose; they rise to the situation assertively. For other, stress creates panic, chaos, lethargy, depression or fear. Stress has a direct effect on the immune system, lowering our ability to destroy invading viruses and bacteria. Stress doesn't only occur at work. It can arise at many times and in many different ways. In particular there is the stress caused by major life changes such as moving house, getting married, or losing a loved one. At these times we may experience tremendous uncertainty and fear, nervous excitement or overwhelming sadness. Emotions contract the muscles and blood vessels, heighten the release of hormones such as adrenaline, affect digestion and breathing, and weaken the immune system, leaving us vulnerable illness and breakdown. Now imagine that the tube of toothpaste is you. You are under pressure and beginning to experience psychological or emotional stress. But you do not take your lid off, as it were, by recognising what is happening and making time to relax or deal with your inner conflicts. So, what happens to the mental or emotional pressure building up inside you? Eventually it has to find a way out and if it can't out through the top ( by being expressed and resolved), it will come out somewhere else. It will find the weakest point, whether through your digestive system, your nerves, your immune system or your sleep patterns. Pushed down, it becomes illness, depression, addiction or anxiety; projected outwards, it becomes crime, hostility, prejudice or aggression. Is important to know how to relieve " Stress" I want to share with you a few " movement" to help and improve our overall health. Chi Kung - Through cultivating chi, personal problems and limitations are recognised, become more fluid and less of a restriction. As the body and breath move so does the mind, clearing the energetic block that normally lock us into fixed emotional and psychological patterns. Tai Chi - The movements don't just improve the physical body, they also develop concentration, purpose and sensitivity, releasing old patterns of physical behaviour and opening the mind and body to the peace within. Is ideal for all forms of stress as it promotes deep relaxation of the whole system, digestion, metabolism, and circulation. Dance - To dance is to feel the gift of life in our veins,to directly experience the joy of each breath. Where the body moves of its own volition, self consciousness dissolves and in its place come self- awareness-an awareness of each part of the body and its relation to the whole. Thank you for reading this article. Our world is built upon relationship and communication. May this understanding bring you good health and happines!

Much love & peace
